Disney’s Hexed Promotional Video Features KATSEYE’s Animal
Walt Disney Animation Studios shared a new look at Hexed featuring KATSEYE’s “Animal.” The announcement attracted attention from animation enthusiasts and fans of the international girl group.
The song provides a contemporary pop backdrop for the film’s magical imagery. Moreover, its energetic sound complements the adventurous atmosphere of the promotional footage.
According to Laughing Place, the track comes from KATSEYE’s WILD EP. The outlet also noted that its appearance in the promotional video does not confirm its inclusion in the movie or soundtrack.
For now, the confirmed connection is promotional. Any claim that KATSEYE contributed an official Hexed soundtrack song would require further confirmation from Disney or the group’s representatives.
What Is Disney’s New Animated Movie Hexed About?
Hexed is an original animated fantasy film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. It follows Billie Doe, an unconventional teenage girl who discovers that she possesses magical abilities.
Her powers transport her from suburban life into Hexe, a mysterious realm inhabited by witches. As Billie explores this unfamiliar world, she uncovers secrets connected to her family.
Billie’s cautious mother, Alice, joins her on the journey. Together, they face unexpected challenges that could transform the magical world.
The film combines fantasy, comedy, family relationships, and a coming-of-age story. Disney’s official synopsis emphasizes Billie’s discovery of her abilities and the evolving relationship between mother and daughter.
Who Is in the Voice Cast of Hexed?
Disney has announced an ensemble cast featuring established Hollywood actors.
Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie Doe, the film’s central character. Rashida Jones voices Alice, Billie’s protective mother.
Meanwhile, Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, a magical three-eyed cat who becomes an unlikely ally. Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste, a powerful witch who seeks to maintain her authority.
The supporting cast includes Tracey Ullman, Stephen Fry, Henry Winkler, and Dan Stevens. Their characters help bring the film’s unusual magical world to life.
Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand direct the film, with Josie Trinidad serving as co-director. Roy Conli and Yvett Merino produce the animated feature.
KATSEYE’s Animal: A Song From the WILD Era
“Animal” is a KATSEYE single released on July 24, 2026. The song appears on the group’s WILD project and explores themes of attraction, confidence, and revealing a less restrained side of oneself.
Universal Music described the track as a bold pop anthem. The song was co-written by Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid, Omer Fedi, and Blake Slatkin, with Fedi and Slatkin handling production.
The track’s appearance in Disney’s promotional footage introduces it to another entertainment audience. It also gives fans an opportunity to hear the song alongside scenes from an upcoming animated feature.
Nevertheless, the promotional placement should not be confused with a confirmed soundtrack contribution. Disney has not established that “Animal” plays during the film.
Why the Hexed and KATSEYE Connection Matters
The promotional video brings together two major entertainment interests: animated fantasy and contemporary pop music.
Disney regularly uses music to establish a film’s atmosphere and reach audiences beyond traditional movie advertising. In this case, KATSEYE’s track provides a modern musical identity for the new promotional material.
Additionally, the pairing may encourage KATSEYE fans to explore the film before its theatrical debut. Disney audiences may also discover the group’s music through the clip.
However, the promotion alone does not establish any streaming record, chart achievement, or commercial impact. Those outcomes would require independently verifiable data after the video’s release.
The confirmed development is the use of “Animal” in the promotional video. Its broader effect on the film’s audience and the song’s streaming performance remains to be measured.
When Will Disney’s Hexed Be Released?
Disney’s official movie pages list Hexed for a theatrical release in November 2026. The US release date is November 25, while Disney’s UK press announcement lists November 27.
The film will introduce audiences to Billie, Alice, and the magical realm of Hexe. Its story focuses on self-discovery, family secrets, and the consequences of unexpected magical abilities.
Disney has also published official trailers and promotional materials introducing the characters and fantasy setting. Viewers can follow the studio’s official channels for further announcements about the film and its music.
Conclusion
Disney’s new Hexed promotional video features KATSEYE’s “Animal,” connecting the group’s pop music with an upcoming animated fantasy adventure.
The film follows a teenager who discovers magical powers and enters a mysterious world alongside her mother. Its voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Rashida Jones, Jodie Foster, and Walton Goggins.
Although “Animal” appears in the promotional footage, its inclusion in the final movie or official soundtrack remains unconfirmed. Further announcements from Disney or KATSEYE will be needed to establish that connection.
