Kang Ha-neul is a well-known South Korean actor in the entertainment industry. Ha-neul is known for his appearances in TV dramas like as The Heirs, Angel Eyes, Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and When the Camellia Blooms. Mourning Grave, Twenty, Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet, New Trial, and Midnight Runners are just a few of the many films in which the actor has appeared.

In addition, at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards, the young actor was named “Best Actor.” In Forbes Korea’s annual Power Celebrity list for 2020, he was placed 23rd.

Kang Ha-neul began his career as a performer in the musical theater. Thrill Me, Prince Puzzle, Black Mary Poppins, and Assassins are just a few examples of notable projects. Later, the actor moved to television, where he appeared in a number of shows.

He had a lot going on in 2015. In the same year, he was in three movies. C’est si Bien is a musical, Empire of Lust is a period drama, and Twenty is a coming-of-age drama. Ha-neul received numerous Best New Actor nominations and awards for his performance in Twenty.

In 2016, he appeared in Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet, a black-and-white biographical period film. He played Yun Dong-Ju, a poet, in this endeavor. At the 25th Buil Film Awards and the 4th Wildflower Film Awards, he was nominated for “Best Actor” for this film.

He also appeared in the military musical Shinheung Military Academy in September 2018, alongside fellow actor Ji Chang-Wook and k-pop sensation Kim Sung-kyu. He was nominated for “Best Actor” at the 7th Yegreen Musical Awards for his outstanding performance as Paldo.

Similarly, the actor made a comeback in the entertainment industry in 2019 with the film When the Camellia Blooms, in which he co-starred with actress Gong Hyo-jin. He won several prizes for this, including Best Actor (TV) at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2020.

In January 2020, he will act in the theater production Fantasy Tale. Rain and Your Story, released by TH Company on December 10, 2019, confirmed his return to the big screen. His new firm is called TH Company.

Served in the Military

On September 11, 2017, Kang Ha-neul reported to Nonsan Korean Army Training Center to begin his mandatory military service. They honored him for his outstanding achievement during basic training during the completion ceremony on October 24th.

Then, on February 22, 2019, he was named the Military Manpower Administration’s honorary ambassador (MMA). The Air Force Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, hosted the ceremony. He took part in MMA events until December 2019 as an honorary ambassador. On May 23, 2019, the actor was finally released.
